Assessment & Plan

We walk the property, identify what stays, what gets restructured, and what gets removed. Irrigation coverage checked. A written scope with plant list and pricing provided before work begins.

Removal & Pruning

Overgrown material removed. Salvageable shrubs structurally pruned. Stump grinding if needed. Beds cleared, edging removed, and grade assessed before any new material goes in.

Bed Rebuild

New bed boundaries established. Fresh edging installed — steel or concrete border per preference. Soil amended if needed. New plant material installed to correct depth and spacing for mature sizing.

Mulch & Finish

Premium mulch applied at 3" depth. Pulled back from all plant trunks. Beds cleaned of debris. Property blown off. Irrigation verified and adjusted. Written care instructions provided.

Can you renovate just one section of my property rather than the whole landscape?+

Absolutely. Most renovation projects are phased — we prioritize the most visible areas first (entry bed, front facade, pool surround) and address remaining areas in subsequent visits or seasons. A phased approach also allows the budget to be spread over time without compromising the end result.

How do you decide what to keep versus remove?+

We assess three things: health, structure, and proportion. A healthy plant that's simply overgrown may be structurally pruned rather than removed. A plant that's fundamentally the wrong species for the location — wrong mature size, wrong light requirement, wrong water need — is removed regardless of its current appearance. We present our recommendation on-site and discuss before any removal happens.

What's the difference between landscape renovation and landscape maintenance?+

Maintenance preserves what's already there and keeps it performing well. Renovation resets a landscape that has departed from an intentional design — through overgrowth, neglect, plant failures, or simply a design that no longer serves the property. After renovation, ongoing maintenance keeps the new design looking its best. Most renovation clients transition into our maintenance program after the reset is complete.
